Within the framework of a partnership with CIRIMAT (Inter-university Center for Research and Materials Engineering - UMR CNRS 5085), ITHPP has collaborated in a research project on polysaccharidic scaffolds: 3D biomaterials obtained with biopolymers to be used for cell based therapy. Regenerative medicine has high hopes for this approach. However the decontamination of these materials by conventional methods has deleterious effects. Electron beam irradiation having shown its interest, it is in this context that ITHPP was solicited.
